AMP also has Quick Tuner Software, in which tuning files for all  recommended motor-driver combinations are embedded.  When choosing a motor file, you have the option of using a predetermined inertia load.  These files provide a well damped, stable solution.  But, if your system requires additional adjustments, AMP’s “jerk filter” can be added which will provide a “S” shape to the accel and decel ramps, providing a smoother motion.  A step by step step advanced tuning procedure is included in the Quick Tuner manual.  The virtual oscilloscope in Quick Tuner makes it simple in plotting your tuning results .
