What is new with Parker:

Interact 7.0 - This Interact level 1-HMI version includes all modules in the base cost of the Interact package, thus making configuring Power Stations and Interact applications easier.  It is the best value in the HMI market, offering more capability, high speed of response, and more flexibility than any other level 1-HMI.  Also, since all modules are included there is no more confusion about what modules are necessary.  It is available as a development system or pre-installed on PA2 Power Stations.

Parker will soon be offering a new line of traction motor – MPT.  The MPT is for EV and HEV drive trains and will offer a small carbon footprint. Parker SSD Drives announces the release of the following new product:

DC590+ Integrated Series 2 - This is the next step in development of DC drive technology.  It has the flexibility and functionality to more than meet the requirements of all applications from the basic motor installs through the most demanding I/O intensive multi-motor systems due to it innovative 32-bit control architecture.  It is also available with a “ready to install” drive package called DRV, a single integrated module that includes all the associated power components within the package, thus reducing design time, panel space, wiring time and cost.

PA2 Power Station – An economical push-button panel replacement solution and has the option to include advanced software features.  It is a direct drop-in replacement for the PA family of Power Stations and offers new higher performance processors and TFT displays in all sizes.  Even better, the PA2 Power Station will ship with Interact version 7.0 pre-installed.  All modules are included in this Interact version, thus making configuring Power Stations and Interact applications easier.  No more confusion and worries about what modules might be necessary for a given application.

Parker announces:

The Aries Controller and ACR 9000 family of controllers are now both enabled with EtherNet/IP protocol. They can operate as an adapter/slave device within EtherNet/IP network and they take advantage of EIP drivers included with Parker HMI products line Interact and Interact Xpress. This EtherNet capability gives ACR 9000 and Aries users a popular connectivity option to PLCs and other master/scanner devices supporting the protocol.

Parker Factory Display (PFD) – It offers unparalleled visual impact for empowering associates on the factory floor with its high definition, flat panel displays and built-in networking.  It empowers workers with real-time situational awareness for faster response to downs and non-conforming conditions.  They can do much more that other production board displays and Andon systems, whether remotely publishing displays from any where via the Web or visualizing non-conforming parts on a production line, at a lower cost.  Its intuitive graphics enhance the massage while its distributed architecture easily integrates into existing manufacturing and IS infrastructure.

Parker releases:

PAC – Programmable Automation Controller – A complete motor control solution which combines the features and capabilities of a motion controller with those of a PLC (programmable logic controller). It combines the best of the ACR9000 controller with an IEC 61131-3 PLC. Along with the reliability of a PLC, it provides task flexibility and computing power of a motion controller, of which , features include:

• Data portability around the plant.
• Remote support and diagnosis
• Database logging support
• Ease of integration up to the SCADA level
• Can integrate multiple fieldbus networks

With this converged approach of control technologies, it provides a family of integrated industry standard development tools to eliminate platform lifetimes and scalability concerns, boost overall system performance, and reduce engineering costs by reusing code and tags with any system device.

In addition to the above new release, Bayside gearheads are now standard options on the Daedal HPLA and HLE series of belt-driven positioners.  This means fewer components with less complexity (no additional bearing support for the driven pulley is needed), standard motor kits offered matching to the Parker MU and MV mounting kits, and shorter lead times.
