Low Cost Connector Option – This has been released for the BE and SM motor families.  It uses an AMP or Tyco brand connector for both motor and feedback connectors.  You will save time and money with this standard LC option.

Advantech announces the following new products:

EKI1528 and EKI1526- These new rackmount models are added to the Serial Device Server line.  They are ideal for high density remote monitoring, management and control of serial devices over Ethernet and Internet Protocol (IP) networks.   Integration with PC based systems just takes a few minutes and is transparent to host application software as well as connected equipment. 

EKI 1221 and EKI 1222-The EKI1220 series of Modbus Gateways have a quick and easy integration of Modbus serial devices with Industrial Ethernet networks.  They support a wide range of configurations between serial and Ethernet devices and are designed for transparent operations, meaning no changes are required to already installed devices, equipment, and software systems.

ADAM 5240- This is a 4-axis stepping/pulse-type servo motor control module for use with the ADAM 5550 series PACs (Programmable Automation Controllers) and is fully integrated to fulfill general purpose motion applications.  It has high speed 4-axis motion control which simplifies stepping and pulse-type servo motor control as well as an intelligent novaR  MCS314 motion ASIC card that includes various motion control functions embedded into it.

SST/Molex announces the new PCI Express Cards for industrial connectivity. This new line of BradCommunications PC interface cards connect a PC to  Ethernet, Serial, and Profibus networks with support to over 30 protocols.  The main features include RoHS compliant, user friendly user tools, “all-in-one” meaing all protocols are included in the package, on board processor eliminates data bottle necks (thus ensuring delivery of time-critical information), development library, OPC server and Wonderware SuiteLink/DAserver,and certified for over 50 major SCADA/HMI packages.  The new PCI Express cards enable a user with an existing application to replace a PCI card or change to a new PC platform without changing the user’s configuration.

WSL Series

It is a versatile manually controlled light tower, which can be used  in environments where manual operations are used, including workstations, call centers and work fulfillment centers.

LAS M1K Series

These LED strobe lights use super bright LEDs which can be seen from a great distance.  It can be used indoors or outdoors for applications such as forklifts, AGV’s (automated guided vehicles), and maintenance or emergency vehicles.  It has 10 built in flash patterns, including steady, which can be synchronized.

NE Series

The NE indicating light, introduced last year, is now rated IP66 and IP67.  This makes it dust proof, resistant to water jets, and momentarily immersible.  This means it now can be used in wash down applications, including pharmaceutical, food processing and milling environments.  It is visible at great distances due to its bright LED lights.  It is available in amber, red, green, blue and white.

Network Capable Signaling Devices

Patlite also offers many network cable products, including the new PHU, which is conncected to a PC using a USB cable, and the NHE and NHM units can be connected to an Ethernet network.  Also the PHE and PHC can be can be connected to a PC via RS-232 C connection (or USB with converter).

Remember, Patlite’s LED lights only consume 1/8 the power of an incandescent bulb used in standard light towers, thus saving you money.

Parker’s Electromechanical Automation Division announces the release of the InteractX ™ 3.0 version of it’s award winning Windows based software.  This new release of  InteractX 3.0 HMI cuts development time by 80% by importing screens and data directly from Xpress applications. It adds supervisory HMI functionality, historical trending and seamless integration with stand-alone HMI.

In addition, Parker announces that in addition to the performance enhancements on the GEN II gearheads, they are now backed by a 2-year warranty on mechanical components, doubling the warranty period of previous generation gearheads.   They are also now available with only a standard 5 day lead time.  Performance enhancements include higher radial load capacity, increased service life, and universal mounting kits.

SST PB3 Communication Module

eNetMeter DN

SST-EMN-DN1 and SST-NAS-DN1 – This is a passive device that continously monitors a DeviceNet network and send information over Ethernet to a PLC or PC monitoring system. Then the information can be read directly by an EtherNet IP master.  It provides extreme accurate measurements  of the network parameters using high speed sampling.  It can be used to diagnose current faults on a non-functioning network through the measurement of hundreds of network parameters, minimizing downtime by pinpointing the location of the fault.  Then it can be stored for future analysis.
