SICK is now offering the following new products:

SICK Flexi-soft Safety Controller- It is an easy-to-commission controller for small to medium sized machines.  It augments a comprehensive safety interface portfolio that includes safety relays, safety controllers, and safety fieldbus solution.  It can be expanded module by module to save in cabinet space while controlling costs.flexi

W15 Photoelectric Sensor- By using OES3 technology, this sensor is able to ignore background reflections, detect multi-colored/shint objects, and provide high immunity to ambient light.  It can help reduce your material and labor costs , and it is assembled in the U.S. allowing you to customize to your specifications.photoelectric

SICK Inspector 120 Vision Sensor- It now includes an interchangeable lens and an I/O extension module to provide more field of view options and better confirmation on pass/fail inspections, as well as keeping up with the speed of almost any production line in the packaging industry. vison-sensor

OD Value Optical Displacement Sensor- This sensor is deal for OEM’s and machine builders and with its easy-to-read bar graph display, it can be quickly installed and maintained.  It features numerous interface capabilities and is the best price to performance ratio of optical displacement sensors on the market today.

LMS100 & LMS111 Laser Measurement System Sensors- These are compact and light weight . The LMS111 is ideal for outdoor anti-collision environments, such as in the port and harbor markets, with its flexible mounting configuration and withstanding harsh weather conditions.  The LMS100 is designed for indoor profiling applications to compliment light grids, vision systems, and safety laser scanner.  Both of these sensors have advanced filtering technology to eliminate false trips in measurement applications.lms

The following is more information on products that were introduced by SICK in April:

MPS (Magnetic Positioning Sensor)- It is the only cylinder sensor solution on the market that offers 4 different stroke sizes – 36, 64, 96, & 128 mm, which provide increased measurement flexibility, is easy to set-up due to single-button, adjustable teach-in of the zero and final point, offers efficient measurement of the stroke due to minimal blind zones, and has superior precision.

MZT8 - The most flexible and compact pneumatic cylinder for t-slots, and it offers the shortest sensor housing length (24mm), making it ideal for short stroke cylinders and small mounting spaces, provides the most precise  magnetic piston detection with only +/-5% sensitivity tolerances whereas competitor sensors have +/-25%, and has an active sensing element providing more precise piston detection since it reduces travel loss.

The above 2 sensors offer the most cost-effective and accurate solution for piston detection, thus saving time and money as well as getting measurement or position feedback.

Fork Sensors- They function as 2-unit through beam systems, combining sender and receiver in a single housing.  The WFL Laser Fork sensor has the highest position accuracy.  It can be used in a wide range of applications, including sensor for high speed labeling machines. The 21 different housings make them suitable for detection tasks on conveyor belts, in assembly, and handling.
