Oriental Motor offers an array of products including:

CRK Series with Built-in Controlleris a compact, space saving 5-phase stepper motor and driver package.  The driver supports stand alone or RS-485 Communications with multi-drop capability for network operations and I/O control.  It has lower vibration, increased position accuracy, higher resolution, and has 3 operating modes:

• Direct Command – Entry from terminal, PLC or master controller
• Stand Alone Operation – running stored programs selected via I/O
• Variable Data – any settable parameter or varialb values entered/changed via direct entry from a host will be used by the stored sequence.

DS Series on Board Type Driver- This driver allows for easy adoption of 5 phase motor advantage for applications which struggle to meet desired results or to improve upon current machine by lower vibration, increased positioning accuracy, higher resolution and more efficiency, reduced current requirements.  The only requirement is a board mountable drive and capacitor.  It is desired for applications where the driver must be on printed circuit board or where space saving is of the utmost importance.

AR Series- These continuous duty, high efficiency step motors have a closed loop control which maintains positioning operation even with abrupt load fluctuations and accelerations.  It achieves significant improvements in efficiency with its lower heat generation, constant operarion, up to 40% less power consumption, low vibration and improved angle accuracy.

Oriental Motor also has a wide range of linear and rotary actuators.  They combine step motor products with linear and rotary components creating all-in-one solutions, thus saving time and money necessary to develop those types of systems.  They also have a more compact design and allow downsizing of your applications.  These products include:

SICK releases the following new products:

AFS60 Singleturn and AFM60 Multiturn Programmable Encoders – These encoders help reduce inventory and replacement costs with a revolutionary bearing design and metal code discs that give them a longer encoder lifetime.  They offer increased durability and customization options at a click of a button. Their high-resolution measurements, along with their compact size and high accuracy make these encoders ideal for applications requiring precise and reliable positioning. These encoders can be used in a variety of manufacturing environments, including position control in robotics and packaging applications. W12-3 Photoelectric Sensor - Great for harsh wash down environments in food and beverage packaging and pharmaceutical environments.  This sensor provides great background and foreground suppression at an extended range by using OES3 technology, which enable this sensor to ignore stray background reflections, detect multi-colored/shiny objects and provide high immunity to ambient light. DT Hi & DT50 Line Extension – This distance measurement sensor offers greater precision and longer sensing ranges and it features new output and laser class options.

IP67-Rated C4000 Micro Safety Curtain – It is for use in harsh wash down environments, such as dairy, chemical and meat processing applications.  These light curtains are resistant to water vapors and harsh chemicals, saving you money with it durable innovative hoursing design.  The one-way valve allows air and moisture to escape, preventing fogging.

IME Inductive Proximity Sensor – Features ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) programming,chip which eliminates production tolerances, giving IME sensors exceptional accuracy and repeatability.  The use of Hot Melt filling material which can withstand humid areas and provide excellent shock and vibration resistance.  It also features a high tightening torque (for a more rigid installation), and high immunity to Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) signals, voltage and current spikes and electrostatic discharge. The non-contact sensor now has a higher temperature tolerance and switching frequencies which make it ideal for detecting metal targets in packaging lines, assembly, metal forming and automotive industries.

Advantech’s EKI family of Industrial Ethernet Switches and Media Converters now have Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Class 1, Division 2 (groups A,B,C, and D) certification for use in hazardous locations, including oil and gas, mining, and chemical processing industries.  It is critical to use correct equipment in these environments where flammable liquids, gasses and vapors can pose a challenge for the installation of electronic devices.  The compact and rugged EKI-2000 and 7000 series are nor approved for these environments.

Advantech also introduces the following new products:

UNO-4672- This fanless Box PC was designed to be compliant with IEC-61850-3 (the international standard of communication network and systems in power stations).  It is very suitable for harsh environments due to its fanless design and built in isolated PSU and IO isolated serial communication ports , rear IO connection and LEDs on front panel for all ports and modes simplifying monitoring for operations and maintenance.

PWS-8033M- This  ultra rugged mobile computer with Wi-Fi and GPS provides a fully functional communications device for outdoor applications.  It is constructed with an IP67 rating, guaranteeing total protection against dirt, dust and water and it is a great device for reliable mobile communications in any environment.
