Friday, October 30th, 2009Advantech has upgraded their high performance Fanless Box PCs, which include UNO-2170, 2171, & 2176 series, and their PCI-based Fanless Box PCs, UNO-3072 &UNO 3074 series, to support SATA interface,. SATA supports faster data transmission and provides more reliable serial communication, compared to the PATA communication interface. The Fanless Box PCs have a robust design with power isolation and thermal resistant solutions. There are special power circuits that keep the system ground apart from the chassis ground, thus enhanced isolation from external electrical interface, which provides higher system reliability. They are also designed with strict thermal testing criteria ensuring a system to operate at a stable temperature.
